New Mediterranean-style restaurant set to open July 27 at Lotus Honolulu

Honolulu, HI (July 15, 2013) – On July 27, Park restaurant officially opens its doors unveiling a dining experience sure to add flair to Honolulu’s dining and social scene. Located on the second floor of the Lotus Honolulu at 2885 Kalakaua Avenue, the new restaurant boasts a menu that offers a modern interpretation of Mediterranean dishes and a notable wine program including a “25 for 25” special that features 25 bottled wines you can purchase for $25 each.

Park’s newly designed 3,600 square feet space exudes a sophistication that provokes one’s senses. Through original art pieces and intricate interior design elements, Park creates an environment that excitedly compliments the food and drinks.

The restaurant also introduces Executive Chef, Michael Collantes. Prior to joining Park, Chef Michael worked his way up the culinary ladder as a true student of cooking. His love for food has always been the driving force behind his goal to be the best. Chef Michael’s culinary journey has taken him on a path others would envy, including working under some of the world’s most celebrated chefs. Through his creative leadership and inspiration, the menu celebrates Mediterranean cuisines with different interpretations of classic dishes and modern cooking techniques, using organic and locally sourced ingredients, whenever possible. Dante Camara was hired as manager. Camara was previously the manager of Hoku’s at The Kahala Hotel.

Park seats 90 people in its main dining room and up to 10 in the private dining room adjacent to the wine cellar. The restaurant also added a Chef’s Tasting Bar that seats 12 and will later include a daily special tasting menu exclusively prepared by Chef Michael. The main bar, which seats up to 30, will be serving a menu featuring small plates and appetizers.

Opening day is Saturday, July 27 at 5:00 p.m. Dinner will be served until 10:00 p.m. with the main bar remaining open until midnight.
