AQUA HOSPITALITY ENCOURAGES WOMEN TO “LEAN IN” TO A HAWAIIAN VACATION

Special Getaway Package Includes Copy of Best-Selling Book and Donation to Women’s Charity

Honolulu, Hawaii – May 31, 2013 – Inspired by the Lean In movement, a drive to empower women based on the best-selling book Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead, Aqua Hospitality (www.aquahospitality.com) has created a unique “Lean In” promotion that allows visitors to enjoy a Hawaiian vacation, while introducing them to the Lean In conversation and supporting other women by giving back.

“As one of Hawaii’s most dynamic and progressive hotel groups, Aqua Hospitality employs a high number of women in senior positions and believes in empowerment for all our employees,” said CEO & President Ben Rafter. “This book struck a chord with the company and it seemed fitting to share with our guests.”

The Lean In Promotion starts at $99 per night and is available at 21 participating Aqua Hospitality properties throughout the three divisions of the hotel group (Monogram, Aqua and Lite hotels) on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Hawaii Island and Molokai. Guests who book the package receive a copy of the bestselling book Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead. Plus for each reservation booked, Aqua Hospitality will donate 10% of the proceeds to the Patsy Mink Foundation, a Hawaii-based non-profit that provides educational access, support and opportunity for low-income women, especially mothers.

The offer is available for booking and traveling now through December 31, 2013 and is subject to availability and blackout dates. A seven day advance booking is required. Reservations can be made at www.aquaresorts.com or call 866-940-2782.

About Lean In
Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead is a New York Times best-selling book focused on encouraging women to pursue their ambitions, and changing the conversation from what they can’t do to what they can do. In Lean In, Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook and one of Fortune’s 50 Most Powerful women, examines why women’s progress in achieving leadership roles has stalled, explains the root causes, and offers compelling, commonsense solutions that can empower women to achieve their full potential. She describes specific steps women can take to combine professional achievement with personal fulfillment and demonstrates how men can benefit by supporting women in the workplace and at home. The book’s popularity has inspired the website, LeanIn.org, an active, supportive online community to help women have the confidence and know-how to achieve their goals. The site features blogs, personality profiles, free online lectures and tools for creating and managing small group monthly meetings called “Lean In Circles.”
